STEP 2 : Preparation

This is a critical step for a lasting installation. We carefully remove any existing flooring, wall coverings, or fixtures in the work area. Depending on the area (e.g., bathrooms, showers, wet areas) and substrate, we install appropriate underlayment, backer board, or uncoupling membranes for waterproofing and stability. Adjacent areas are protected with drop cloths, plastic sheeting, and tape to minimize dust and damage.

STEP 3: Layout Planning

Our experienced installers plan the tile layout meticulously to ensure symmetry, minimize visible cuts, and highlight the desired pattern (e.g., straight lay, diagonal, herringbone). We establish reference lines to guide the installation, often performing a dry layout to visualize the final pattern and placement of cuts.

STEP 4: Tile Installation

High-quality thin-set mortar is mixed to the correct consistency. The adhesive is applied using the appropriately sized notched trowel to ensure proper coverage and bonding according to manufacturer specifications. Tiles are carefully set into the adhesive with consistent pressure. Tile spacers are used to maintain uniform grout lines. Tiles are cut precisely as needed using professional tools like wet saws.Excess adhesive is wiped from the tile faces and grout lines immediately.

STEP 5: Curing Time

​

The newly installed tile and adhesive are allowed to cure undisturbed for the manufacturer-recommended time, which can vary depending on the product and environmental conditions.

STEP 6: Grouting

​

Once the adhesive is fully cured, the grout is mixed. We apply the grout evenly into the joints using a grout float. Excess grout is carefully wiped from the tile surface using a damp sponge, rinsing the sponge frequently to avoid spreading haze.

STEP 7: Grout Haze Removal & Cleaning

​

After the grout has dried sufficiently, we perform a final cleaning to remove any remaining grout haze from the tile surfaces, leaving them clean and ready. The entire work area is thoroughly cleaned.

STEP 8: Sealing (If Applicable)

​

For porous tiles (like natural stone) and sometimes grout lines in wet areas, we apply a high-quality sealant to protect against stains and moisture penetration, as recommended.

​

We conduct a final review of the completed installation to ensure everything meets our high standards and your expectations. We then invite you for a final walkthrough.
