We have all seen it: a kitchen that was "painted" by a handyman or a DIY enthusiast. Brush marks are visible, the doors stick when you close them, and after six months, the paint starts chipping around the handles.
True cabinet refinishing is not about applying paint; it is about applying a protective industrial system. Here is why the MVK Factory Finish stands apart.
The Enemy: Grease and Grain
Kitchens are hostile environments. Cooking oils (grease mist) settle on cabinets for years. If you paint over this oil, the paint will never adhere. It will float on top and eventually peel off like a sticker.
Our Solution: We use an industrial de-greaser that strips the surface down to the raw finish. Then, we sand it to open the pores of the wood.
The Finish: Catalyzed Polyurethane
We do not use wall paint (latex). Latex stays soft and rubbery. We use 2K Catalyzed Polyurethane. This is a two-part system with a hardener.
- Hardness: It cures to a rock-hard shell that resists fingernail scratches.
- Smoothness: Sprayed with HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) turbines, it lays down glass-smooth. Zero brush marks.
- Durability: Waterproof and chemical resistant. You can scrub it.

Clean, Sand, Fill Grain, Prime.
Spray
2 coats of industrial finish.
Install
Re-align doors and install new handles.

El Enemigo: Grasa y Veta
Las cocinas son entornos hostiles. Los aceites de cocina (niebla de grasa) se asientan en los gabinetes durante años. Si pintas sobre este aceite, la pintura nunca se adherirá. Flotará en la superficie y eventualmente se pelará como una pegatina.
Nuestra Solución: Usamos un desengrasante industrial que limpia la superficie hasta el acabado crudo. Luego, lijamos para abrir los poros de la madera.
El Acabado: Poliuretano Catalizado
No usamos pintura de pared (látex). El látex permanece suave y gomoso. Usamos Poliuretano Catalizado 2K. Este es un sistema de dos partes con un endurecedor.
- Dureza: Cura en una cáscara dura como roca que resiste arañazos de uñas.
- Suavidad: Rociado con turbinas HVLP (Alto Volumen Baja Presión), queda liso como el vidrio. Cero marcas de brocha.
- Durabilidad: Impermeable y resistente a químicos. Puedes fregarlo.
